Forza players and Porsche fans alike are pinching themselves when they heard this news. After accidentally leaking the information on the wrong video, Porsche, notoriously known to be in EA games exclusively, is finally coming to the world of Forza Horizon 2!
Autoblog was the first to report this amazing news. According to its press release, Porsche, Electronic Arts and Microsoft (Xbox) collaborated to "bring the Porsche experience to all Xbox One players." The ten new Porsches include: 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 (pictured above), 1987 Porsche 959, 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 and 2003 Porsche Carrera GT. However, the biggest reveal has got to be...the 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder!
That's right, the 918! You know what that means? The 918 vs. P1 vs. LaFerrari battle is going to happen! Of course, every Forza YouTuber will inevitably do the rivalry after the pack releases! (First YT'er that comes to mind is AR12Gaming...)
Porsche is not new to the Forza series since its cars were in the first until third installment through a sublicense with EA. The deal ended when Forza 4 came out which led to the creators to add the famous substitution: RUF. Later on, it was soon resolved in a DLC. Still, it didn't last long for the brand to be part of Forza 5.
Not only will this deal be limited to FH2 alone as Porsche will also be in the sixth installment of Forza Motorsport. I never thought I'll say this, but: Good guy Porsche and EA! Still, let us hope that EA would free the Stuttgart brand from its corporate shackles and be able to be in other games like Gran Turismo 7, Driveclub, Project CARS or Assetto Corsa!
But for now...enjoy yourselves, Forza players.
